I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and have lived in Guadalajara, Jalisco for more than two decades. My training as a systems engineer gave me an analytical, structured way of seeing — but my true voice emerged through art. Although I pursued engineering as a career, I grew up surrounded by loudspeakers, lights, paint and sawdust — art students, drawings, paintings, sculptures, smells and flavors that stimulated my senses.

By chance, in 2019 I found writer and teacher Yolanda Ramírez Michel. Taking one of her mythology classes I began to draw things that emerged from my soul with self-determination. I liked it. I continue to do it and it fills me with passion. Much of what I make comes from personal situations and introspective states — I love the free, spontaneous process, but there is also an aesthetic part that seeks clear, clean, defined forms.

I work primarily with paper and acrylics — noble media that allow the flexibility and freshness I seek in the creative process. I want my work to be recognized by its visual language, to leave a mark at each step, and to share with others what emerges from within me.
